FIT

COMME des GARÇONS HOMME SIZING IS OFTEN LARGER IN ITS FITTING THAN THE OTHER CDG BRANDS. CUTS ARE GENERALLY WIDER AND BAGGY, THROUGH THE BODY, AND LONGER AND MORE GENEROUS CUTS WITH THE PANTS.

WE DO RECOMMEND REACHING OUT FOR SPECIFIC SIZES IF YOU ARE UNSURE. THE SIZES ARE TYPICALLY MORE WESTERN FIT THAN A JAPANESE FIT.

JACKETS SLEEVE LENGTHS ARE TYPICALLY DESIGNED TO BE LONGER THAN THE SHIRT BENEATH AND LONGER THAN TRADITONAL SUITING JACKETS.

BRAND

Comme des Garçons Homme is a men’s ready-to-wear line designed by Junya Watanabe under the direction of Rei Kawakubo.

The BRAND centres on workwear, utility, and military semiotics, translating functional garments into a structured, contemporary wardrobe.

Core pieces include chore jackets, field jackets, blazers, cargo trousers, and shirting, developed through precise pattern cutting and durable construction.

Fabrics are integral to the line, with repeated use of heavyweight cotton drill, denim, wool twill, ripstop, and technical nylons, often treated or panelled to emphasise wear, reinforcement, and longevity.

Garments reference utilitarian archetypes such as workwear, industrial clothing, and military dress, expressed through patch pockets, reinforced seams, adjustable straps, and zipper, clipS and toggle closures and details.

The silhouette remains relaxed and oversized. Pieces are intended to be worn together as a complete system rather than in isolation.

Colour is typically restrained, grounded in black, navy, khaki, and olive, with seasonal variation introduced through texture, fabric and finish rather than print.

Comme des Garçons Homme operates within a framework of utility and material research, prioritising construction, durability, and the evolution of workwear. Each collaboration is through Porter, New Balance, Gloverall, Barbour, Vans, Fred Perry, and Champion extend this philosophy.
